I spent $6.70 at Walmart & look at what I got!

I don't usually shop at Wal-mart. Mainly because the one close to my house is ALWAYS so crowded. You would think it was the day before Thanksgiving everyday of the year around that place. So, I try to avoid it at all times, but I had some EXCELLENT coupons I needed to use before the end of the month. Seriously, who could pass up free dog food, free hot sauce, free queso, free paper towels, and more!

Great Walgreens & CVS Trips!

Easter bunny gifts, cleaning supplies, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste, razors, trashbags, air fresheners and more! This was definitely a great shopping weekend. As I was checking out at Walgreens I had about 5 people in line behind me who were all asking questions about how I saved so much money. They were all amazed. They all gathered around and were watching. It was funny. The cashier was even friendly! (Walgreens cashiers are slightly moody when it comes to couponers!) After she scanned all my coupons and my receipt printed, she announced real loudly, "You saved $140!" Everyone behind me was telling me how great that it is. It was definitely an interesting shopping experience! It felt good walking out of the store with over $150 worth of stuff and spending $7.50 out of pocket! PLUS, I have a few items I can submit for rebates, so I really spent less than that!!! :)

I went shopping, again! There is nothing else to do on this rainy Sunday! :)

I decided to make a "quick" Walgreens run to pick up a few things. There are a few register rewards deals going on right now, so I wanted to see what I could find. As I was strolling the aisles, I found some clearance items that I also had coupons for, of course! It ended up being a great trip!

As much as I love shopping, I think I am done for the week! My husband is ready to kick me out. Everytime I come home I have bags and bags of stuff and he wonders where I am going to put it all! I need to sell some of it on Ebay, again. I like selling on Ebay, but it takes a long time to list the items and I really don't make that much money back. I thought about saving it all in boxes and having a garage sale in a few weeks. Hmmm.........what should I do?! :) BTW, if you ever see anything you want, send me an email and we can work out price and shipping or if you are close to me, you can come pick it up.

I did 3 transactions today, but I am combining to save time!

Kroger - Saved $93.21!!!!

We had a great Kroger shopping trip yesterday. Arthur went with me and was amazed at how much we saved in coupons. After the Shortcuts coupons (-$9.20), Cellfire coupons (-3.00), and Kroger Plus Savings (-28.80) came off, our total was around $165. I used 40 manufacturers coupons. Kroger doubles and triples coupons, too. With my manufacturer coupons I saved an additional $55.21, bringing our total to $102.79. Coupon and Kroger savings of $93.21!! That equals about a 50% savings!!!! Would have been a lot more, but we found great deals on meat and of course Arthur needed to pick up some wine and beer. :)

Here is my receipt so you can see all the coupons:

I'm Back!

Sorry, I haven't posted all week, but taking care of an injured dog is a lot more work than I expected. He is almost 100%, so it has definitely been worth it. He is the sweetest dog and it was so sad to see him go through what he did. We are so fortunate he only got a few bites on the back side of him.

Here are a couple pictures of him after the attack:

I also started school this past week. :( I think taking 16 hours is going to kick my butt! I have to just keep telling myself I will done before I know it. Even though I haven't been posting, I have still been shopping! Last weekend and today I was able to pick up a lot of things for very little out of pocket! I will try to get those pictures up tonight or tomorrow.

Achoooooo.......Ouch!

Today I am in pain. For anyone who has been around me on any given day of the week, you have experienced an allergy day with me. If you are one of those unlucky people, I am sorry! My poor husband has to deal with me on a weekly basis. If there was some kind of stop sneezing muzzle out there, he would have put one on me by now! I even annoy myself. Achoo, sniffle, achoo, sniffle......all day long! Well, yesterday was a horrible allergy day. I think I sneezed about 300 times. I woke up this morning and every single muscle from my head to my stomach hurts.

I decided to do some research to see if maybe all this sneezing could benefit me in anyway, because the obvious side effects, suck. Well, I learned sneezing is great for the abs, I definitely need help there. Each sneeze burns 1 calorie, so that's great. I burned 300 calories without even knowing it. And, sneezing strengthens your back muscles, because they are also getting a workout. Imagine going to the gym and getting a really good workout by a personal trainer, without going to the gym. I guess when I think about it, sneezing is a better workout, but there's not a hot male trainer assisting you. Hmmm.......... :)

Walgreens and CVS Tips!

For both stores, you are allowed to use a Store Coupon AND a Manufacturer Coupon for EACH item you purchase. A lot of people think if you use a Store Coupon, you cannot use another coupon with it, but this is NOT true. Store Coupons are often found in the weekly ad. These save you a lot of money, but imagine using a Manufacturer Coupon with it! Double savings, cha ching! Hope this helps! My mom is venturing out to Walgreens today. Fingers are crossed she has a good money saving trip! Wish she lived here, so I could take her out with me and show her the coupon ropes! Hahaha!

Also, for items that are Buy 1 Get 1 Free, you are allowed to use a coupon for EACH item. Some cashiers will try to tell you, you may only use 1 coupon, but this is NOT true. According to Walgreen's and CVS's official policy, you are allowed to use 2 coupons!

Revlon this week at Walgreens is Buy 1 Get 1 Free. There are Revlon coupons in the Sunday's paper from yesterday. Great make-up for a cheap price!

Weekend Shopping Trip!

I love Sunday mornings! I get up, make my coffee, get the newspaper, and start looking for great deals! It takes me about an hour to plan my trip, gather my coupons, and then head out. Yesterday I decided to go to the CVS a little further from my house to see if they had any good deals. (I think I went to the CVS close to me about 6 times last week, so I pretty much cleared them out!) :) I was able to pick up a few things, but nothing really great. I don't like that store because they have so many boxes and crates sitting around it is hard to walk through the aisles. They definitely need to hire more people, so they can unload quicker, so I can come clean them out!

Next, I went to Walgreens and the CVS close to me to see if they had any Glade Scented Holders left. I had $2.00 off coupons and the holders were on sale for $0.99, so I was able to get 2 free holders with each coupon. PLUS, they were giving 2 Extra Credit Bucks per Glade Scented Holder, so I made a profit of......................... $18!!!!!!!! I was so excited! I picked up a few more things, even splurged and spent $ on make-up for me!

Here is what I "bought" and the breakdown of each trip is below. It was definitely a money making shopping trip!

Transaction 1 - CVS

FREE Febreeze Candles!

I love Hot Coupon World! Without these ladies posting secret deals, I would be missing out on a lot! I was reading through their website the other day and someone posted about Febreeze candles on sale at CVS for $1.99. These are the nice, glass candles that usually retail for about $8.00. The sale price was not marked on the shelf, but when she scanned one it came up at $1.99. She also mentioned there was a $2.oo off coupon for any Febreeze candle in the newspaper on December 14. Well, I happen to have 4 of those coupons, so I was able to get 4 FREE candles. Woot! Woot! They smell so good. I have one burning right now. I ran into CVS this evening is here is what I bought:

2 Pack Cars (For Ayden!), Christmas Clearance 75% off, $0.99

Ayden's New Year's Eve Videos - "Trip to the North Pole!"

These videos are so cute. Ayden discovered he could make his own video, "Trip to the North Pole!" Then, he wanted me to video tape him. Caution: You will get dizzy watching the 1st video! Enjoy!

Happy New Year's

I should have posted this post in my first blog, but I didn't, so here it is! This was from my New Year's Day shopping trip. I made $16 by purchasing these items! All of these items are part of the January Extra Credit Buck deals. Here is an explanation on how it works, FatWallet.

Tis the Season to be Jolly!

Here are a few pictures of my house decorated for Christmas. This is why I do not need anymore decorations!
