FREE Gillette Shampoo & Conditioner at CVS!

Who doesn't need 10 free bottles of Gillette and 6 free sticks of Degree deodorant!? The Gillette is from CVS and the Degree is from Walgreens. CVS also has sunscreen marked 75% - 90% off! Time to stock up for the summer. I picked up 4 sunscreens for about $6! I will post detailed transactions tomorrow.

CVS & Walgreens! Thank you for paying me to take items off your shelves!

GREAT shopping trips at Walgreens and CVS! I will posted detailed transactions tomorrow.

I'm Back!

Sorry, I haven't posted all week, but taking care of an injured dog is a lot more work than I expected. He is almost 100%, so it has definitely been worth it. He is the sweetest dog and it was so sad to see him go through what he did. We are so fortunate he only got a few bites on the back side of him.

Here are a couple pictures of him after the attack:

I also started school this past week. :( I think taking 16 hours is going to kick my butt! I have to just keep telling myself I will done before I know it. Even though I haven't been posting, I have still been shopping! Last weekend and today I was able to pick up a lot of things for very little out of pocket! I will try to get those pictures up tonight or tomorrow.

Achoooooo.......Ouch!

Today I am in pain. For anyone who has been around me on any given day of the week, you have experienced an allergy day with me. If you are one of those unlucky people, I am sorry! My poor husband has to deal with me on a weekly basis. If there was some kind of stop sneezing muzzle out there, he would have put one on me by now! I even annoy myself. Achoo, sniffle, achoo, sniffle......all day long! Well, yesterday was a horrible allergy day. I think I sneezed about 300 times. I woke up this morning and every single muscle from my head to my stomach hurts.

I decided to do some research to see if maybe all this sneezing could benefit me in anyway, because the obvious side effects, suck. Well, I learned sneezing is great for the abs, I definitely need help there. Each sneeze burns 1 calorie, so that's great. I burned 300 calories without even knowing it. And, sneezing strengthens your back muscles, because they are also getting a workout. Imagine going to the gym and getting a really good workout by a personal trainer, without going to the gym. I guess when I think about it, sneezing is a better workout, but there's not a hot male trainer assisting you. Hmmm.......... :)

Walgreens and CVS Tips!

For both stores, you are allowed to use a Store Coupon AND a Manufacturer Coupon for EACH item you purchase. A lot of people think if you use a Store Coupon, you cannot use another coupon with it, but this is NOT true. Store Coupons are often found in the weekly ad. These save you a lot of money, but imagine using a Manufacturer Coupon with it! Double savings, cha ching! Hope this helps! My mom is venturing out to Walgreens today. Fingers are crossed she has a good money saving trip! Wish she lived here, so I could take her out with me and show her the coupon ropes! Hahaha!

Also, for items that are Buy 1 Get 1 Free, you are allowed to use a coupon for EACH item. Some cashiers will try to tell you, you may only use 1 coupon, but this is NOT true. According to Walgreen's and CVS's official policy, you are allowed to use 2 coupons!

Revlon this week at Walgreens is Buy 1 Get 1 Free. There are Revlon coupons in the Sunday's paper from yesterday. Great make-up for a cheap price!

Weekend Shopping Trip!

I love Sunday mornings! I get up, make my coffee, get the newspaper, and start looking for great deals! It takes me about an hour to plan my trip, gather my coupons, and then head out. Yesterday I decided to go to the CVS a little further from my house to see if they had any good deals. (I think I went to the CVS close to me about 6 times last week, so I pretty much cleared them out!) :) I was able to pick up a few things, but nothing really great. I don't like that store because they have so many boxes and crates sitting around it is hard to walk through the aisles. They definitely need to hire more people, so they can unload quicker, so I can come clean them out!

Next, I went to Walgreens and the CVS close to me to see if they had any Glade Scented Holders left. I had $2.00 off coupons and the holders were on sale for $0.99, so I was able to get 2 free holders with each coupon. PLUS, they were giving 2 Extra Credit Bucks per Glade Scented Holder, so I made a profit of......................... $18!!!!!!!! I was so excited! I picked up a few more things, even splurged and spent $ on make-up for me!

Here is what I "bought" and the breakdown of each trip is below. It was definitely a money making shopping trip!

I was reading through their website the other day and someone posted about Febreeze candles on sale at CVS for $1.99. These are the nice, glass candles that usually retail for about $8.00. Bowling Time!!!

After shopping, there's nothing better than spending time with the family. I think my son and husband enjoy time with me when I am away from my coupon binder and ads! My son told me this morning if he hears me say coupon one more time, he is going to scream! I have a feeling there will be a lot of screaming going on! That reminds me, I need to take a picture of my coupon binder and post it. You will think I have officially lost my mind! That's if you don't already think that. :) The other little boy in the picture is our neighbor's son, Jole.

Internet Coupons

A lot of the good coupons I use are printed from the internet. Most coupons can be printed two times. Google the coupon you are looking for and more than likely it will appear. Make sure it is a legal coupon! :)

I <3 CVS!!!

Another GREAT shopping trip! Here are my goods for the day! I was going to go to the other CVS close to my house to pick up a few more things, but my son was waiting for me to come home, so we could go bowling. Great Website!

This lady works out all the weekly CVS deals. She is awesome. Click on this link, http://www.thethriftymama.com/ and scroll down to CVS Deals and Scenarios for 1/4-1/10 and GET STARTED! It is so easy to do! I am going to sit down tonight, get all my coupons in order, and head out first thing tomorrow for another round of shopping! :) Let me know if you try it, I want to hear how it goes. I will also post pictures from my trip.

$4 Off Purina

This is a great coupon. Fill out the survey, enter your information, and then print your coupon. Wait until the small bags go on sale for around $4.00 each, use your coupon, the item will be free or very close to it!

Welcome!

It's the start of a new year and the start of a new hobby for me! For anyone who knows me, they know if I set my mind to something, I do it 110%! My latest hobby is now consuming me full-time, but I absolutely love it. If you love to shop, you will enjoy my blog and if you love to shop for FREE and possibly make money, you will definitely love my blog!

Well, over the Thanksgiving holiday, my husband was bored and was surfing the Internet when he came across the website, HotCouponWorld. He was telling me about how all these women were getting stuff for free and making money. I was half listening, like always! :) I decided I should start clipping coupons again, but the thought of reading a discussion forum on coupons didn't really interest me. At the time I was just trying to survive my last two weeks of the semester, substitute teach everyday, and fulfill my duties as homeroom mom. There's nothing worse than disappointing a room full of 20 kindergartners! Well, a couple weeks goes by and I slowly start reading more and more on the website and collecting my coupons. Thanks to my wonderful mother in-law, her coupons, too! Within a week I had bought some great things at a cheap price and I was proud of myself. I was actually making money at CVS within a couple weeks. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but it is very easy to do. A couple more weeks of research, organizing, and shopping, I officially consider myself a coupon fanatic, money saving mama, PRO shopper! Here are my finds for today, Saturday, January, 3, 2009! Look at the picture and come up with a total in your head on how much you think I spent. After you have come up with the total, scroll down and I will tell you how much I spent and how I did it. :)

The retail amount of everything in the picture is about $350. My total amount out of pocket (OOP) that I spent was about $37! This is by far one of my best trips, considering the amount of product I got.

I started my day at the CVS closest to my house. SoyJoy Bars were free after ECBs (Extra Credit Bucks). Picked up 5 boxes, which means I have 30 disgusting bars to eat, but they were free, so who cares! I actually made $2 off of these, because I had a $2 off coupon. Go figure!

Infusium 23 was 75% off! Normal price $6.99, on sale for $1.75, plus I had $3 off coupons. 6 bottles for free!

Kotex pads on sale for $3.27. Receive $2.00 ECBs, total $1.27, I had a coupon for $1.oo off, so 20 pads for $0.27! Got 2 packs, so 40 pads for $0.54!

Walmart

All Christmas was on clearance for 75% off! Christmas decorations are a weakness of mine, so I had to splurge and pick up some candles, a singing/dancing snowman, and a singing/dancing reindeer. Both too cute to leave sitting on the shelf! Don't worry, for those of you who have seen the enormous amount of Christmas decorations I already have, I am not going to add these to that collection. I am starting a collection for my classroom when I am finally a teacher, because my classroom is going to have to be decorated, too!

Luminair Airwick Flameless Candles on sale for $4.97. I had 2 - $5.00 off coupons, so 2 FREE candles! Original price of the candles was $10 each! Oh, I am so good! Wish I would have had more coupons. Who doesn't need an endless supply of flameless candles!

Reynolds Foil price $1.42, used $1.00 off coupon, total $0.42 for 25 sq. ft. of good foil! I bought 3 boxes.

Ziploc Freezer Bags pice $1.77, used buy 1 get 1 free coupon, total for 2 boxes, $1..77. I bought 6 boxes. I was even feeling nice I gave 2 on my B1G1F coupons to the lady shopping next to me. :)

Kroger

Cheap Toilet Paper! Cottonelle 4 pk, $1.18. I used a $.50 coupon, Kroger doubled the coupon, total OOP $.18 per pack. Woohoo! Left the store with 7 packs of TP and spent $1.26.

Suave Advanced Therapy Lotion $0.99. I had 4 - $1.00 off coupons, so that means I got 4 FREE lotions!

So, that is basically the really good deals you see in the picture. There are a few other things that I picked up because they were free or basically free!

Now, if only I knew what to do with all the stuff! :)
